Better Business Awards Win: Wellness Advocate of the Year (VIC/TAS)

It’s been a busy period of growth here at The Money Collective – and sometimes it’s good to take a moment to step back, look at the bigger picture and appreciate how far we’ve come.

We’re proud to share that our co-founder, Melissa Pearce, has just been recognised as Wellness Advocate of the Year (VIC/TAS) at the Better Business Awards 2026 – a growing recognition of the fact that financial wellbeing is a critical part of a healthy, high-performing workplace.

As Mel shared in her acceptance speech: “The definition of financial wellbeing is the ability to cover your expenses, have money left over to enjoy your life and feel optimistic about the future. Our business is solely here to uplift financial wellbeing through raising capability and resilience.”

That sits at the heart of everything we do.

Our role is to give people the clarity and confidence to make better decisions with their money – through practical education, honest conversations and ongoing support. We meet people where they are, creating a space where they feel comfortable to engage, learn and take action.

Our Financial Resilience Program

Money influences far more than just bank balances. It shapes stress levels, relationships, focus at work and how people feel about their future. When employees feel confident and supported financially, the impact flows through teams, culture and performance.

Through our Financial Resilience Program, we partner with organisations to embed financial wellbeing into their existing people and culture strategies.

Grounded in behaviour science, real-world money education and our 12-step Financial Wellbeing Framework, the program is designed to create meaningful, measurable change over time. We work closely with businesses and their teams to deliver structured, practical support that fits seamlessly into the workplace.

The result is a team of people who feel more empowered, more engaged and better equipped to navigate life’s financial realities.

Mel’s award is a meaningful moment for our team, and a reflection of the impact this work is having in organisations across Australia.
